Chat with Stan Lee LIVE Today… But First, Watch This Clip!

Stan LeeIf you’ve been following our coverage of the upcoming EPIX and Marvel Heroes Weekend this April 27-29th on the EPIX Channel, then you know the channel is showing a Marvel movie marathon that period, including the movies Iron Man 2, Thor, and the TV premiere of Captain America: the First Avenger.

Most of Marvel’s recent movies have had interweaving story-lines, so if you watch those this weekend, you’ll be all caught up on the sequence of events leading up to The Avengers when it hits theaters May 4th.

But if you’ve been following our coverage, you also know that the channel will air the documentary With Great Power: The Stan Lee Story during that same marathon. The program features Lee’s career in the comic book industry, and his legacy as one of the most prominent luminaries in modern comics, and arguably the main guy everyone in pop culture thinks of when the phrase “comic book creator” pops up in their heads.

EPIX has sent us the latest clip from the documentary, where Lee’s colleagues discuss his working in comics as a teenager.

The program is sure to interest Lee fans, and not just those who read comic books. He’s so famous that even most non-comic book readers know who he is, which is a testament to his achievements.

If you want to connect with Stan directly, follow @EPIXHD to catch the Twitter Trivia contest that will be going on as you read. The #Stanswers Trivia Contest began last Tuesday and will run until this Friday. Each day @EPIXHD tweets out daily trivia questions you can respond to. Winners are chosen randomly and receive a Stan Lee autographed poster. Daily winners are also entered into a pool to win a Stan Lee signed comic book.

And if you just can’t wait to connect with Stan, you can start TODAY by participating in EPIX Live: Stan Lee, interactive streaming Q & A that airs on Facebook, YouTube and UStream at 1:30 pm EST and 10:30 am PST. Tweet questions to the #Stanswers hashtag to see if they make it into the broadcast!
