Oh dear duckies, I must say the only thing better than the crisp smell of autumn is getting to run through Target with gleeful joy filling up my cart with more candy than I could ever possibly imagine to give away to trick or treaters.  Some say it’s because I’m an impulse shopper, others because secretly I want to destroy all my friends’ diet plans, still others say it’s because I’ll bring it to work to share.  Whatever my reason, this year you can rest assured the sugary remains from Halloween Night will be sitting on my desk November first.  This year though, instead of the usual Snickers and Hershey Dark Chocolate Bars, of which I never get enough, you might also find these delectable treats.

 

 

I can honestly admit I’ve never really liked the taste of Pez but for some reason I can’t get enough of collecting them.  From Eyeore to Wonder Woman, Disney Princesses to to the Avengers, Pez really is the candy treat that everyone can find something they love.

 

 

 

Who says you can’t play with your food?  Well besides everyone’s parents.  Well, maybe they shouldn’t have gotten you Candy Blox.  A completely versatile food toy.  You can build whatever your heart desires, and unlike real Lego’s where you always seem to be missing that key piece to complete your creation, with Candy Blox you can nibble off the excess and shape the piece you need.  Genius!

 

 

 

 

I LOVE this stuff still!  I don’t care that it has a weird texture and practically melts as soon as it touches the tongue.  I go to science museums just to stand around the barrels filled with Astronaut Ice Cream and buy it by the arm full.  Also perhaps making small children cry in the process.  You say I’m Chaotic Evil like it’s a bad thing?

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Oh so delicious bite size morsels of chocolate, peanut butter, and candy shell.  What flavor is candy shell any way?  Who cares!  E.T. knew they were good and pint sized geek guys and gals couldn’t agree more that Reese’s Pieces are a must for every Halloween candy bowl!  If you can make the trip, drive to Hershey, PA and get them fresh from the factory.  There is nothing sweeter on Earth.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

I like strawberries and I do enjoy nice crispy bacon.  Thank Thor I can now enjoy both together -  well maybe not crispy.  Sweet delicious strawberry flavored gummy bacon has all the flavor and calories but none of the artery clogging goodness.  Can there be nothing better?

 

 

 

 

 

 

Now you are probably looking at these little discs and wondering what in the name of Hera are these?  Maybe it’s a Pennsylvania thing, maybe I’m showing my age a bit, or maybe this candy really is just that obscure.  Behold Satellite Wafers!  Wafer discs filled with candy nonpareils, you know those tiny multi-colored balls of candy that sometimes adorn cupcakes.  I’m telling you these things are awesome!

 

 

 

 

Last but certainly not least, who couldn’t love Bertie Bott’s Every Flavor Beans.  With scrumptious flavors like  Soap, Green Apple, Sausage, Candy Floss, Earwax, and Booger.  For an added dose of Trick this Halloween, get yourself a mix bag of jelly beans and pour a few boxes to mix in.  Then sit back and enjoy the faces and disapproving looks.  As a side note, I do find the grass and black pepper ones to be the best.
