Green Lantern The Animated Series will be starting back up with new episodes in a couple of weeks. In the first part of season one we have already seen Hal Jordan go from being a test pilot to being the guardian of Sector 2814, fight alongside a grumpy Red Lantern named Razor and bond with Aya, the artificial intelligence program operating on the Interceptor. On top of all that we have traveled with Hal, Kilowag, Razor and Aya go adventuring on numerous planets getting involved in all manner of trouble. Kicking off Part 2 of Season 1 will be the episode titled New Guy. In this episode Hal returns to Earth to find that he has been replaced as the Green Lantern of Sector 2814 by Guy Gardner, a character well known throughout the comic books.

Guy Gardner is voiced by Diedrich Bader a well known veteran in film and television. Bader is most well known for his time playing Oswald on The Drew Carey Show but what some may not know is that he has lent his voice on many animated series and movies, including Open Season 2, The Grim Adventures of Billy and Mandy and The Penguins of Madagascar.
Just to tease you a little bit more here are a few stills released along with the videos. Whether you are a fan of the comic books or a fan of cartoons in general, Green Lantern The Animated Series is one to follow, it’s well written and visually impressive. Part 2 of Season 1 starts back up on September 29th, make sure to catch it on Cartoon Network at 10am.
