Imagine a crazy world where Dick Tracy and Pirates of the Caribbean were combined in a sort of high seas, private detective adventure story. Unbelievable you say? Well that is what’s promised, sort of, by up-coming noir comic Pirate Eye.
Join ex-pirate and now high-seas detective Smitty as he searches for a beautiful yet elusive lass who has stolen the heart of an influential politician. But can he find her before her deadly secret is discovered? Blimey!
Well that’s how the guys at Action Labs put it anyway.
Now, this may be the first ex-pirate detective that I have heard of. For a start most detectives are out hunting pirates and arresting their stealing asses. But it could work, it’s defiantly an interesting idea and if done right could make for an entertaining read. They are also describing the book as, ‘a new take on noir’ when I think they meant to say, ‘this is not noir’ and have just described it as such to make it seem a little more edgy.
