POLL: Do You Approve of a Superman and Wonder Woman Hook Up?

Newsflash nerds!

In the New 52 reboot, Superman normally wears his trunks under his suit, but soon, he’ll be taking them off whenever Wonder Woman’s around.

This week, the internet has been set ablaze by the news that Superman and Wonder Woman will “get together” (if you know what I mean), starting in next week’s Justice League #12.

Yup. We’re talking the horizontal mambo, doing the nasty, hiding the… well, I think you get it by now.

In-storyline, a major event will affect the League and push the two together romantically. So forget Steve Trevor and Lois Lane. For the time being, Wonder Woman and Superman will only have eyes for each other.

But to hell with them, what do you think? Do you like the idea of the heroes being lovers, or don’t you? VOTE!

Personally, I’m not sure how that would even work from a character standpoint. Assuming that he still has his classic Kansas small-town upbringing in the N52, she would be almost intimidating, personality-wise, where as she, being an Amazon would see him as being too weak, almost in the same way that Lois originally saw Clark in the old continuity.

  2. Speaking as a non-DC reader, of course, I love the idea of them being that universe’s power couple. What I don’t like is the media painting her as Superman’s sexy sidekick, or Superman’s girlfriend. She’s Wonder Woman. I think she’d dig a man who is as strong as she is.

  3. Not really sure if I care one way or another. I know that writers for the last 20 years have been trying to hook up Superman and Wonder Woman, which they have in almost every Elseworld, but this does feel a bit forced here.

Then again, I think it’s great. I now consider the new 52 to be an Elseworld from here on in. That means the continuity that I grew up with, where the heroes smile, still exists somewhere.

Batman must be hurting about this. I feel sorry for him. I thought he and Wonder Woman had something special
