Hidden inside a vast collection, one that might take years to fully catalog, disassemble, and auction off, a full set of both a Christopher Reeve and a Marlon Brando Superman movie costumes will be auctioned off on July 20th. In addition, costumes and props from several other movies will be showcased.
The July 20th auction will be conducted by Profiles in History, an auction house that specializes in entertainment memorabilia. If it’s been in a movie, they are interested in it.
Its founder, Joseph Maddalena, has turned his family’s passion into profit. Coming from a long line of auctioneers, he developed a eye for detail and research at an early age. As a young college student, he would spend weekends looking through flea markets and auction houses for that right item and just as long trying to find where this item was. Now almost 3 decades later, Profiles in History uses its vast network of experts to authenticate, preserve, and disseminate entertainment history.

If you are interested in seeing Joe in action, watch Hollywood Treasure, currently airing on Syfy, Tuesdays at 10pm (ET/PT). This is basically the entertainment history version of Pawn Stars and American Pickers.
About Joseph Furguson
This child of the 80s does not look upon it as some gold age where everything is better. He is well aware that the filter of time causes the best stuff to rise to the top. Every era has terrible and awesome things, but most are downright mediocre. He loves to highlight the forgotten good and the deserving bad items of all generations.
