The author of Tower Chronicles volume 1 is Matt Wagner, a veteran comic book writer. His best known creations are Grendel and Mage. Grendel is the story of Hunter Rose, fiction author by day, professional assassin by night. Mage is the story of alienated young person who has a magical baseball bat and superhuman abilities. If you are a fan of either one of those works, then this comic book series.
