Avengers Stars to Ring Opening Bell at Stock Exchange

It is definitely a big week for comic book fans, since this Friday will see the release of the highly anticipated Avengers movie. It’s no surprise then that Marvel Studios want to pimp this film out in any way that they can. Television ads, trailers, news stories, and film related products are all being released and pushed heavily this week, to build even more hype for the mega super hero film. And who blames them?! This film is going to be a veritable cash cow for Marvel Studios (and Disney). So how else could the marketing team add a bit more excitement to the mix? Well, by making the celebrities of the film appear in various places and do random things.

It’s good to see that Marvel is pulling all the stops for this film. With all of the other various superhero films coming out this year, it would make sense that they would want to get enough marketing and promotional events to get as many people into the theater come May 4th.
Don’t get me wrong. I already have my tickets for the midnight screening of the film this Thursday. But since I do not live in New York this celebrity appearance does not really appeal to me. Even if I did live there, I would most likely miss the event regardless, because it doesn’t offer anything other than a glimpse at two actors who happen to be in the movie. But that is just me, and I am sure there are loads of people who will want to see this happen.
