As all of you probably know, The Amazing Spider-Man was released last Tuesday July 3rd, 2012. As of now, it’s made almost $146 million. With how popular super-hero movies have been lately (as we can see from the high grossing Avengers) it’s no surprise that it’s been announced that Amazing Spider-Man will be a trilogy of films. The second film is set for a May 2014 release date. With it being five years since the last Spider-Man movie of the original film series was released, how do you think these new movies are going to compare? Are you excited for the possibility of even more Spider-Man?
While I personally haven’t had the chance to see the new Spider-Man movie yet, I have to admit I’m curious about how the new series will turn out compared to the old one. Will the lower-than-probably wanted gross keep the directors trying harder? We’ll all have to see how it turns out.

I saw it yesterday and my impression was that it was the same as the 2002 movie. Just an origin story. Some changes but essentially the same plot and same events. It wasn’t bad, it was just nothing new. Where the next two go will probably be radically different though so those might be better.
