Game development is a long process that is, just like any other business, limited by both time and its budget. Sometimes scenes or gameplay elements need to be cut. Such was the case for Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic II: The Sith Lords, released in 2004 by Obsidian Entertainment and LucasArts. Various plot elements, decisions, and dialogue was cut from the final game.
But this is a Star Wars game, people. You know the fans couldn’t just let that slide. Enter an international group of modders. Since 2009, this group of passionate gamers has been meticulously restoring the game’s lost content, as well as fixing a bantha-sized mountain of bugs.
This mod’s intention is to restore much of the cut content to The Sith Lords, that was lost to the main game due to a rush to release the game. This rush also left the game with a plethora of bugs (some of which also blocked out content, so not everything restored was really “cut”, for example the quest ‘Corrun Falt’), this mod should seriously decrease the buginess that plagued TSL.
Overall, our goal is to make the KOTOR2:TSL experience closest as possible for us (as modders can do) as Obsidian originally intended it to be…
The list of additions and fixes to the original game is long. We can sum up by saying there are new missions, characters, dialog, weapons, attack moves, options, and player choice outcomes.
