Marvel doesn’t half like to tease quite a lot of stuff, but now some information has surfaced about one of their upcoming titles, X-Treme X-Men.
Last week they began their tease with a poster that grabbed attention. They still haven’t given too much away, but what they have will certainly get heads talking and hype beginning to fly.
The new series will focus to a large extent on Dazzler, but she won’t be the only star to the show. What really grabs attention is the fact her other team members will be alternate-reality versions of Emma Frost, Wolverine and Nightcrawler.
Greg Pak told iFanboy: “And that’s why Dazzler is so perfect for X-Treme — in our world, she’s the ultimate show-biz superhero survivor, an icon and inspiration and probably the semi-embarrassed star of her own “Behind the Music” doc. She’s wry and funny and she’s seen it all — but she’s also still searching for her true path.”
Greg Pak seems like a logical choice to write the story as he introduced alternate X-Men Characters during his Astonishing X-Men run. The book will be drawn by Stephen Segovia, with the first cover coming from Julian Totino.
And what a cover it is.

Yes, in this issue there happen to be a whole slew of female characters and YES they do have over sized body parts, and yes they are not to scale by any means. I did notice that in some frames one of the leads, Sela, resembles Wonder Woman quite a bit. The story was good and stayed focused. [...]
